Now this is good news! The world’s largest chocolate maker Barry Callebaut will introduce a chocolate bar soon that it says will fight wrinkles and slow the ageing process.
The chocolate will be filled with antioxidants which helps to prevent wrinkles and promote skin elasticity and skin radiance. It seems that other chocolate makers like Nestle and Danone are working on similar products.
It has previously been reported that dark chocolate has certain benefits, as due to its high content of antioxidants it could help lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of strokes.
But one expert Richard Hurrell, Professor of Human Nutrition at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology warned that although there is evidence that cocoa flavanols have a positive effect on the blood flow and can reduce blood pressure, the possible effects on skin are less well established.
